Using emerging technologies for humanitarian contexts
About Me
Hi! I’m Jaya, a Computer Science graduate working to utilise emerging technologies to advance humanitarian work and protect human rights.
My experience spans from using machine learning to make gender-based violence legislation more accessible to human trafficking survivors, to forming policy recommendations enhancing artificial intelligence preparedness in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Emerging technologies should be bridges not barriers; closing divides, not exacerbating existing inequalities. My mission is to continue applying my technical skills to contexts supporting those in need.
